A plain shirt will usually beat a designer logo. Not as a manifesto. As a Tuesday. Soft cotton, no crest, nothing to prove in the grocery line.
This is not an argument against nice clothes. Wear what you like. The quieter point is that you do not have to dress like a billboard for a company that is not paying you. Status pieces ask you to advertise. A basic tee mostly asks you to be comfortable.
Kind people compliment how you look. They do not need the brand name to finish the sentence.
Cheaper helps in the real way: you can get muddy with kids, survive cat nails, spill coffee, and keep living. Life can happen on a shirt that did not cost a week of groceries. That freedom is worth more than a logo.
You do not need this specific shirt — whatever feels right to you is the whole rule. A basic soft tee from anywhere is enough if that is what feels good.
Put on something soft. Go outside. Leave the status piece in the drawer unless you actually love it.
